Pressure Booster System

PRESSURE BOOSTER PUMPS

A booster pump is recommended where there is a requirement to increase water pressure to a desired level and improve the water flow rate. Pressure Booster pumps are useful in applications where a single pump cannot discharge water at the desired pressure.

They are mostly additionally installed to ensure that other pumps in the system do not cavitate.

HOW DOES A PRESSURE BOOSTER PUMP WORK?

Pressure Booster pumps work by adding an additional pump to the fluid flow system in order to increase water pressure. Therefore, these pumps work like any other ordinary pump.

Typically, these are centrifugal pumps that take water from a source and move it through an impeller (single-stage) or multiple impellers (multi-stage) to increase water pressure. The high-pressure water is then discharged through an outlet.
